How to reach the University of Hyderabad?
By Air:
The nearest airport is the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad. It is located in Shamshabad, about 24 kilometers south of Hyderabad.You can find details of to-and-from RGIA airport here.
The quickest way to get from RGIA to the University of Hyderabad is by taxi. Pushpak Bus is a special AC service provided by TSRTC. You can avail the tickets directly on the bus. Pushpak is a safe, secure, and fast service. Pushpak not only goes to the airport, but to many other destinations in Hyderabad. Pushpak bus timings are very convenient as it is a round-the-clock service. The timings can be found here. The nearest stop to the University of Hyderabad is Gachibowli ORR. The University of Hyderabad campus is located about 5 km from Gachibowli.
By Rail:
Being the headquarter of South Central Railway; Hyderabad is well connected with all major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata. There are three major railheads in the city, namely, Hyderabad Deccan (also known as Nampally), Secunderabad Railway Station, and Kacheguda. All three stations are connected by the local railway line (MMTS), bus, and metro. Taxis or cabs are easily available from outside the railway station. You can also take the Hyderabad metro from Hyderabad Deccan, Kachiguda, and Secunderabad to the nearest metro station, Raidurgam (near IKEA).
By Road
Hyderabad is well connected with cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Chennai, Tirupati,etc. via a good road network. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) very well manages the bus terminal here. Travelers can choose from Volvo, sleeper, and deluxe buses, which are operated by both state and private operators. Ola/Uber services are also available within the city.
